Now, lets first wind back to last night, Sunday in Dingle ! What could possibly go wrong ?? Well, the answer nothing ! After a good days drive I headed out for a pint, ended up in a hardware shop that also sells pints, got chatting to the bar man, "want to see the menu" , "why not" I replied ,more out of courtesy, I hadn't planned on eating in a hardware store..... "any recommendations" ? ....."The Thai Green Chicken Curry, it's our chef's speciality, we have it every week, it's amazing"..... never one to be put off by such a strong recommendation I steamed in.....Have to say WOWZER!!! it was stunning !
From there, my plan was another swift pinty, then an early night....got to the pub on the corner, 2 guys playing an acoustic set, (funnily enough the same 2 guys I'd seen in a different pub the night prior, these pubs do keep these young musicians busy with work, which is great), as I take the first sip of my pint they finish up, off to another gig, but say someone else will be on in half an hour....I approach the end of my pint, and there's a guy and a girl setting up, can I be bothered to wait, I'm tired, but I decided why not, I will have one more, see what they are like......What a decision ! From the end of the first line I knew this was an amazing voice ! the hairs on my arms pricked up, there was a magic, this want just a pub singer, this was something else.... for the next 2 hours I was just taken in by the voice....pleased to say she was also selling her CD's so I have been listening to that all day... If this young lady doesn't make it, I will eat my hat ! Check out "What you are" by the amazing Riona
So, back on the road this morning.... after dingle, the next interesting place I get to is...

From there it was on to the ring of Kerry, now for the first half hour of the drive, I was wondering what I could show you of this, the scenery is amazing, but you need to be here to appreciate it, its wonderful, but it's 365 degrees, and there's no where to stop on the roads to take pictures, so my plan was to just tell you, that you need to come over and drive this, but then I got to Bray Head, and now I have something I can show you....
Driving up here reminded me of the scene from "The Italian Job" where they drive the mini's up onto that strange building...if you know the film you will know what I mean...
I've ended the day in Waterville, at a wonderful place called "The Smugglers Inn" more about that tomorrow.... in the interim, I will leave you will my thought for the day...
